Our friends at Canlis went all out last night.
The meal was divine, and the evening was topped off with Brian Canlis giving us a tour of the kitchen and a couple of their wine cellars. Yes, they have more than one. They collectively house over 18,000 bottles with some topping more than $14,000 a bottle. Oh dear.
Thank you Brian and all of the superstars at Canlis.
Dogs are a huge source of inspiration for us at Somelab. Like Ryan Holmes, CEO of HootSuite, our dogs also come to work with us every day, fill our days with joy and remind us what is important in life.
Here are 5 management secrets he learned from his dog.
1. Be loyal (but not to a fault).
2. Trust your instincts.
3. Know what you want and be super persistent about getting it.
4. If you’re going to do it, do it 110%.
5. Unplug. Go outside and play.

Having trouble getting through the week? We are too. Maybe this will help. Here are a few more shots from the photoshoot that Back Bar hired us to do. Maybe you should pick up some Giffard on your way home from work tonight and get the weekend started early? Cheers. SEE THE OTHER PHOTOS
“It’s very hard to stop doing things you’re used to doing. You almost have to dismantle yourself and scatter it all around and then put a blindfold on and put it back together so that you avoid old habits.”

Sharing a bit of the personal today.
A couple of months ago, Marcela and I were out on Orcas Island. We love it out there. It’s so dreamy.
While there, we visited Coffelt Farm. The Mission of Coffelt is to demonstrate sustainable, island—scale agricultural practices, promote environmental stewardship, and provide opportunities for education and research, while honoring Orcas Island’s rural heritage.
Over 40 people showed up to see the lambs that had been born that week. As usual, we took lots of pictures and offered them to Cofflet to promote the great work they do.
Here are some close up shots from a photo shoot we did a couple of weeks ago. These are a line of mezcals that the Back Bar Project will be importing to the U.S. To learn more, be sure to like them on FB. SEE THE OTHER PHOTOS
