Felt Wall Hanging

Conspire to inspire

What should we talk about? Seriously, let’s chat about something that matters to you. Because otherwise this space is going to have words like “full service” and “strategic articulation” in it. It’s going to have founding dates (2001) and name drop people we work with (‘sup, Gates Foundation) and if we’re not careful it’s going to start listing services (they’re down the page anyway, in case you’re curious). Not that all of that’s wrong, or anything. Just not as much fun as hearing what you’re up for and how we can help.

Marcela Barrientos

Good things went down while Marcela was at March First in San Francisco and then later, as a creative director, at the Seattle office of Fitch. Great design for clients like Apple, Netflix, Weyerhaeuser, Cisco, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Projects that ranged from branding and identity to annual reports, packaging, event design, and digital. Collaboration with folks on both sides of the client/agency fence, a lot of big strategic thinking, and even some awards along the way. But no dogs. Where were all the dogs? That’s why you start your own firm, people. So your dog can sit under your desk while you do the good work.

Ed Andrews

We’re not going to go there. We’re not going to combine hobbies like cooking and an educational background in architecture into a biographical metaphor for discovering ingredients that build brands. It’s just not right. Let’s stick to the facts, shall we? Ed got his masters at the University of Maryland and spent six years in SF at Polshek and Partners, Paulett Taggart Architects, and NBBJ. After some time at Frog Design, working with clients like RealNetworks and Maytag, Ed founded Somelab in 2001. Since then he’s had the chance to help a diverse bunch of businesses and nonprofits inspire and educate audiences through branding, websites, environmental graphics, and print communications. See? That wasn’t so hard.
